A man has been arrested under POCSO and Section 76/351(3) of the new criminal law for sexually assaulting his minor daughter. It is said that the accused supplies junior artists to Bengali cinema and serials.

The accused was arrested by the police late last night. He was produced in the Baruipur Sub-Divisional Court today and taken into custody by the police.

According to police and family sources, the victim was sleeping at home on Monday afternoon. Her mother had gone out to work. Sensing an opportunity, the accused entered the room silently and locked the door from inside.

Following this, the man forced himself on his daughter. Suddenly the wife returned home and caught the husband red-handed. The victim's mother complained to the Narendrapur police station at night itself. Based on the complaint, the accused father was arrested.
